As a mechanical engineer, you will work with requirements specification for the submarine's machinery systems. Here, you will be involved from concept development to commissioning and verification. ABOUT THE POSITION:In this technology-oriented role, no day is the same; you work project-based with a mix of theoretical and practical elements. In close collaboration with other departments and professions, you will develop technical solutions for a safe and functional submarine. You will work in a coordinating and integrative role for your systems, which you will follow through the entire chain from development, outfitting, preparation, production, commissioning, and verification. In your role as a mechanical engineer, you are responsible for and set requirements for your systems, ensuring they work together with adjacent systems. Process technology is a central part of dimensioning the systems to meet requirements.
The machinery systems section is located in Lund and is characterized as a close-knit group with extensive collective knowledge, where helping each other to come up with innovative solutions together is valued.
Your main responsibilities:
· Be responsible for your system's functionality throughout the development process
· Develop system solutions that meet requirements specifications
· Write technical specifications
· Carry out commissioning of systems
· Verify requirements with subcontractors or on the final product
· Act as a subject matter expert
· Train users in the systems
· Participate in maintenance projects
Travel within Skåne/Blekinge may occur in this role.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO:Thrives on challenges and has a strong drive to develop and learn new things. Working with submarines is a unique product, and it takes time to learn. Therefore, you do not need to know everything; here you will have the opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues who have worked with submarine construction for a long time. We are looking for someone who is curious, ambitious, and loves to solve various problems!
- Has a master's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
- Has some experience in calculations and dimensioning
- Has some experience in process technology and commissioning of equipment
- Has fluent knowledge of Swedish and English, as both languages are used in daily work

ABOUT THE EMPLOYMENT:This position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where our client has requirements for security classification, this may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
This is a consulting assignment, which means you will be employed by Friday.
